The Virginia Man
Coming off the release of their sophomore LP—MURDER FOLK—the Man is on the road. Where intentional songwriting meets power and pocket, this show is an experience of both nostalgia and creation that will never leave you. Stephen Amoruso (bass/vocals), Jamaal Farrow (drums), and Kristian Lietzan (guitarist, singer, songwriter) comprise the rock and roll band, Virginia Man. These gentlemen champion the sound of their homeland: a strange suspension between the cardinal directions, generational culture, and the changing of seasons.
Green Machine from GMU

The Green Machine brings the values of George Mason University to life. As one of the most recognizable and visible representations of the university, the Green Machine, including its ten ensembles, embodies Mason’s values through its memorable performances and transformative experiences. Participants in Green Machine ensembles form unique bonds with each other, the program, and the university, while learning essential skills that prove to be transferable to professional and personal life.
George Mason Jazztet

The George Mason Jazztet, comprised of accomplished jazz faculty, who are nearly all active duty and/or veterans, showcases original compositions and fresh arrangements that highlight the ensemble's creativity and versatility. Blending tradition with innovation, the Jazztet delivers dynamic performances that reflect the depth, artistry, and forward-thinking spirit at the heart of Mason's jazz education mission.
Braddock Road Brass Band

Founded and directed by Louisiana native Graham Breedlove (Jazz Trumpet faculty), the Braddock Road Brass Band is a new addition to the Mason Jazz family. Performing a wide variety of New Orleans and Louisiana music, BRBB is modeled after the classic New Orleans brass bands such as Rebirth Brass Band, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and The Soul Rebels Brass Band. In addition, the group plays original compositions and its own arrangements of music from both inside and outside the jazz tradition. BRBB’s music comes from a wide range of influences and, most importantly, just like a day in the Big Easy, is always fun!
Scott Kurt Band
Country | Americana | Outlaw Rock
Southern by way of the Rust Belt, Scott Kurt's unique brand of country music blends the old school outlaw grit with elements of guitar-driven rock. Influenced by artists like Eric Church, Jon Pardi, Luke Combs, and Tom Petty, Kurt strives for authenticity over perfection, vocally and melodically. The skillful storytelling behind his lyrics powered Kurt's single "American Man" to the iTunes Country Top 40.
